The Aqua-Media team together with ICOLD’s Technical Committee on Emerging Challenges and Solutions will host a two-day online conference in July, which will focus on floating solar PV panels operating on dam reservoirs.

The conference will include presentations on experience with solar-hydro installations in various parts of the world and will review the potential for future installations. As well as the enormous advantages of this technology, in allowing the development of large-scale renewable projects while avoiding the environmental impacts associated with land-based schemes, speakers will address practical issues such as appropriate moorings, and how to ensure robustness in harsh weather conditions.
