| Description: | Project Coordinator for HYDROPOWER EUROPE, Anton Schleiss, is presenting at this FSR online workshop. His presentation is titled "Hydropower as a catalyst for the energy transition in Europe". Increased constraints on water management, demanding targets on renewable energy, renewal of concessions, climate change is an invitation-only event. Back in 2014 and 2016, the Florence School studied hydropower in Europe, thinking that, in the EU single electricity market, the coherent European policy for hydropower had to be defined. This is now even more topical and urgent than ever. This workshop seeks to address the entire hydro-electricity landscape at the EU policy level. Increased constraints on water management, demanding targets on renewable energy, renewal of concessions, climate change societal or professional impacts and consequences are powerful drivers transforming hydro-electricity technicalities and stakes. |
